The biggest explosion(after nuclear testing) of the year 'DIL SE' is out and available. The cassates/CD's are released by Venus. The feature of the album is is that Gulzar and AR Rehman are working together for the first time in Films. Infact LATA has also sung a beautiful song in the film. Its her first release with ARR.
 

The gradient between Gulzar Saheb and ARR is beautiful and the blending is smooth. Gulzar saheb's lyrics has got a new kind of music for them for the first time. The best song of the film (after 3 listenings) is 'Deil se re' beautifully sung by ARR. and  Gulzar saheb's Lyrics are too good.

The film is first production of INDIA TALKIES (A banner created by Mani Ratnam,Shekhar Kapoor and Ram Gopal Verma).
 

The album features few beautiful songs but overall album is not that good what is expected with such big names. The music is good in 'Tukdaa's'. As Gulzar saheb is written in one of the songs

'E Ajnabi Tu bhi kabhi Awaaz de kahin se
'Main Yahan Tukdo mein jee raha hoonTu kahin Tukdon mein jee rahi hai'
This tune reminds the song 'Kaate nahin katate ye din ye raat' (Mr. India). But good lyrics and Udit Narayan and Mahalakshmi's good singing makes it a pleasent hearing. Lata's song is also beautifully fused with some malayali pieces. The opening number Chal Chhaya-2 is also another example of Gulzar-Rehman fusion. The vocals in this sufiana song are also impressive. Satrangi Re is avoidable but the brilliant opening rendering by Kavita K reminds you the flute piece of 'Tu hi re' in Bombay. Infact each and every song is enhanced by beautifully sung chorus pieces (Harmony in ARR terms).
